No Kerensky phase in Egypt
There has been talk that with Mubarak's resignation and whatever the next government of Egypt takes shape, that the Islamists (whether it be the Brotherhood or some other group) will play the Bolshevik role and usurp the Egyptian revolution. This is nonsense. The military retains full control in Egypt and is intact. The military in Russia circa 1917 was in shambles in the face of incessant pressure from the German Army. What I worry about a bit more is an Algeria situation from 1992 to the present. That is the military takes offense with the results of a democratic election and decides to impose martial law. One can see the 20 year civil war in Algeria to see the brutal effects. Lets hope Egypt does not descend into chaos.
